## Track Your Store's Performance

The OrderRules analytics dashboard gives you visibility into order volume, capacity usage, and customer behavior. Use these insights to optimize your limits and grow your business.

## Accessing Analytics

Go to **Analytics** from the dashboard or click the Analytics link in Quick Actions.

## Key Metrics

### Order Volume
- Total orders for any time period (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Trend graphs showing 7-day, 30-day, and 90-day views
- Peak order times so you know your busiest hours

### Capacity Usage
- Percentage of your daily, weekly, and monthly limits used
- Average utilization across the period
- Number of days or weeks where you hit 100% capacity

### Product Performance
- Top products ranked by order count
- Products that triggered the most limit blocks
- Average units per order

### Customer Behavior
- Repeat order frequency
- How often customer limits are hit
- Guest versus logged-in order patterns

### What each metric tells you

| Metric | What it answers | Act on it when |
|---|---|---|
| Order volume | How many orders, and what time they arrive | Orders cluster at one hour — staff for it or move your cutoff |
| Capacity usage | How much of your limit you actually use | Consistently at 100% — raise that day's cap in the Calendar |
| Product performance | What sells, and what gets blocked | One product blocks often — raise its limit or its production |
| Customer behaviour | Repeat rate, limit hits, guest vs logged-in | Limits are hit constantly — the cap may be tighter than it needs to be |

Every view exports to CSV for the date range you pick, so you can take the same breakdown into a spreadsheet.

## Visual Reports

The dashboard includes several chart types:

- **Line graphs** -- order trends over time
- **Bar charts** -- daily order volume, compare weeks or months
- **Pie charts** -- product mix as a percentage of total orders
- **Heatmaps** -- order volume by hour and day of week, helping you spot your busiest periods

## Exporting Data

For deeper analysis in Excel or Google Sheets:

1. Go to the **Analytics** page
2. Select your **date range**
3. Click **Export to CSV**

The export includes daily order breakdowns, capacity percentages, product details, and customer metrics.

## Using Analytics to Improve

**Consistently hitting 100% on certain days?** Increase your limit for those days using the Calendar's custom capacity feature.

**Slow days with low utilization?** Consider running promotions or adjusting your marketing.

**One product getting blocked constantly?** Increase its production capacity or raise the product limit.

**Orders clustering at a specific hour?** Staff accordingly or adjust your schedule.
