Blocked Orders Report
See What Is Being Blocked
The blocked orders report shows you every instance where OrderRules prevented an order from going through. This data helps you understand whether your limits are set correctly or need adjustment.
What the Report Shows
Each blocked order entry includes:
- Date and time the block occurred
- Reason for the block (store closed, daily limit reached, product limit exceeded, customer limit hit)
- Which limit was triggered (for example, "Daily limit: 50/50")
- Product details if a product-specific limit caused the block
Accessing the Report
- Go to Analytics from the dashboard
- Look for the Blocked Orders section
- Filter by date range, block reason, or product
Common Block Reasons
Store Closed
The customer attempted checkout outside your business hours. If you see a high number of these, consider extending your hours or adding a message about when you reopen.
Daily/Weekly/Monthly Limit Reached
Your capacity cap was hit. If this happens frequently and you have room to fulfill more orders, consider raising the limit.
Product Limit Exceeded
A customer tried to buy more units of a product than allowed. Review whether the product limit is still appropriate.
Customer Limit Hit
A returning customer reached their order frequency or quantity cap. This is normal if you are controlling access to limited items.
Using the Data
Too many blocks at the daily limit? Your limit may be too low. Check whether you could fulfill more orders and increase the cap.
Blocks happening right after opening? You might have pent-up demand from overnight. Consider starting your day with higher capacity or opening earlier.
Specific products always blocked? That product is in high demand. You can increase its limit, boost production, or keep the limit and use the scarcity to your advantage.
Very few blocks? Your limits might be set higher than needed. This is fine if your goal is a safety net rather than active restriction.
Tips
- Review blocked order data weekly to keep your limits aligned with actual demand
