How often does the dashboard update?

Each time you load it. Order counts update as Shopify sends each new order to OrderRules, but an open dashboard tab doesn't refresh itself, so reload the page to see the latest numbers.

What do the colors on the capacity cards mean?

Green is normal capacity (0–79%), amber is approaching the limit (80–99%), and orange means the limit is reached (100%) and new orders are blocked at checkout.

What does the OrderRules dashboard show?

Your store status — open or closed, with the reason and today's closing time — plus a setup guide, your last 7 days of orders and revenue, Order Capacity cards for today, this week and this month, Quick Actions into every rule section, and an App Overview of what's configured.

Why does the dashboard say my store is closed?

The status bar is about your hours. It shows CLOSED outside your business hours or on a Closed date in the Calendar, with the reason next to it. A reached order limit shows as a separate Order limit reached banner instead.

Your Command Center

The OrderRules dashboard gives you a current view of your store's order capacity. Everything you need is accessible from this single screen.

Setup Mode and the Setup Guide

A new install starts in setup mode. You'll see an "OrderRules is in setup mode" banner, and nothing is enforced on your store until you click Enable OrderRules.

The Get started with OrderRules guide lists the setup steps: the theme app embed, the product badge app block, business hours, order limits, the checkout validation rule, product limits (optional), and enabling OrderRules. Each step ticks off as you finish it.

Store Status Bar

Once OrderRules is enabled, the top of the dashboard shows your current store status:

OPEN -- your store is currently accepting orders
CLOSED -- outside your business hours, or a Closed date in the Calendar

Next to it you'll see the reason and, on open days, today's closing time. Manage Schedule takes you to your hours, and Pause turns OrderRules off until you turn it back on.

Last 7 Days

A quick summary of Total Orders, Total Revenue and Avg Order Value for the last 7 days, with a View analytics link.

Order Capacity Cards

If you have limits configured, the dashboard displays up to three capacity cards:

Today's Orders

Shows your current daily count versus your daily limit, with a progress bar, the percentage used and what's remaining.

This Week

Shows your weekly order count versus your weekly limit.

This Month

Shows your monthly order count versus your monthly limit.

Color coding:

Green (0-79%) -- normal capacity, orders flowing
Amber (80-99%) -- approaching your limit
Orange (100%) -- limit reached, new orders are blocked

At 80% or more, an Approaching order limit banner appears. At 100%, an Order limit reached banner tells you new orders are being blocked at checkout.

The store status bar above them shows OPEN or CLOSED and the reason if closed.

Order Limits -- daily, weekly, and monthly caps
Calendar -- special dates and holiday closures
Product Limits -- per-product quantity controls
Customer Limits -- per-customer frequency rules
Settings -- messages, timezone, notifications
Analytics -- order trends and capacity usage

Delivery Dates and Subscription Plan are in the app's main navigation.

App Overview Panel

A summary of your current configuration status:

Business hours -- configured or not set
Order limits -- active or not set
Product limits -- number of product rules
Special dates -- configured or none added

This panel helps you see at a glance whether your setup is complete or if something still needs attention.

Check it daily during your first week to make sure limits match your actual capacity
