What tags does OrderRules add to an order?

delivery:YYYY-MM-DD for the delivery date, slot:HHMM-HHMM for the time slot (e.g. slot:1400-1600), and pickup:YYYY-MM-DD for in-store pickup orders. An order with items on different dates gets one tag per date.

Is tagging on by default?

No. Tagging is off until you turn it on, because it needs permission to write to your orders, and OrderRules only asks for that when you use the feature. Without tagging, the delivery or pickup details are still saved on each order's attributes.

Can I tag orders placed before I turned tagging on?

Yes. Tag recent orders now applies tags to matching orders from the last 3 months.

How does auto-tagging help with fulfillment?

Filter Shopify order search by these tags to print or process everything due on a given date or slot.

Turn on order tagging and OrderRules tags every new order with its delivery details, turning Shopify order search into a picking-list tool.
