Checkout links with a delivery date

1 min read Β· Facts checked November 3, 2026

Selling by chat, email, social media or phone? Send a link that opens checkout with the products and the delivery date already chosen.

  1. OrderRules β†’ Delivery Dates β†’ Orders & fulfillment β†’ Checkout link with a delivery date.
  2. Choose products and set quantities.
  3. Pick a Delivery date (only dates open for all chosen products, with room left) and a Delivery time if you offer slots.
  4. Copy link and send it.

The link works until that date's order cutoff. After that, checkout asks the customer for a new date.

The order shows the date and time like any other, and counts toward that date's capacity.

The date travels with the order, but the customer doesn't see it at checkout (unless you use the Shopify Plus checkout picker). They see it on the thank-you page, if you add the Delivery date block there, so mention the date in your message too.

AI shopping agents and Shop app links can't carry a delivery date yet. Their orders follow your Orders without a delivery date setting.
